Lea is the daughter of Frank Patterson and Opal Marie Leathers. Her siblings include Roger Deane and Donovan Duane. She attended school in New London, Iowa and met and married Ralph Peters. She spent her life in Wapello, Iowa and has 3 children Brian, Dion and Beth. She was a member of the Methodist Church at Wapello and the Marine Corps League Auxillary of Oakville. She was employed by the Louisa County Jail with the Louisa County Child Abuse Council which she help to organize. "tis the fairest flower that dies the soonest".
My Aunt Lea was an amazing woman, mother, Aunt, wife and grandmother! I spent many a summers with her and her family and remember it fondly. She taught me hard work as we spent countless hours "rouging beans".
