Francis Ellen Wasson, was the second wife of Samuel Bayless Brown, Jr., his first wife was Mary Rachel Ivins, they married on 12-23-1852, she was born 1834 and died 1854, Johnson County, Missouri. Samuel Bayless Brown and Francis Ellen Wasson married on March 4, 1855, she was the daughter of Clairborne Watkins Wasson and Mary Margaret Kimsey Wasson. Samuel was the son, of Samuel Bayless Brown, Sr. and Elizabeth Boyd Brown, they both are buried in Chilhowee, Johnson County, Missouri.

When Francis married Samuel he had one child by his first marriage, J. H. Brown was born on March 31, 1854, and his mother died 12 days later.

Francis and Samuel were the parents of 14 children:
