Annie said as a child she had seen the Indian Chief, Quanah Parker, on the streets of Weatherford, Texas several times. In her story, she told of his long black brads that hung down his back. (Annie's mother, Celia J. Roberts filed case #627 in Parker County, Texas for Indian Depredation and received settlement in 1899).
