Oscar Lee Brown was the son of Samuel Brown and Francis Wasson. He married Harriet Elizabeth Youngblood, daughter of William Franklin Youngblood and Cynthia Ann McKinney, in Ellis County, TX on December 16, 1891.

Funeral services were held at the Frost Methodist Church at 5'oclock with burial in the Frost Cemetery for O. L. Brown, 81, member of the Frost school board and prominent in civic affairs, who died at a Corsicana hospital. Rev. L. M. Lawhon, Rev. C. C. Ellis and Dr. E. R. Page of Kerens conducted the services.

Pall bearers were Eugene Brown, Fort Worth; Harold Brown, San Antonio; Martin Youngblood, Greenville; Dean Youngblood; Waxahachie.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. O. L. Brown, three sons, Lee Brown, Fort Worth; Frank Brown and Joe B. Brown, Frost; Three daughters, Mrs. M. F. Osborne, Corsicana; Mrs. Blanche Coley, Corsicana and Mrs. J. H. Harrington, Frost, three brothers, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
