DANIEL LETCHER, AGE 77 died in Vancouver on Sunday. He was a retired railroad engineer. He was born in Ada, Minnesota and for the past 13 years lived in Yacolt at 310 Railroad Ave.. He was a member of the Catholic church; Veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWI and WWII; the DAV of Minot, N.D.; VFW of Hudson, WI and the American Legion Post of Vancouver.

Recitation of the Rosary was held Monday night at Layne's funeral Home in Battle Ground. Rev. Sean Fox was the celebrant of the Mass offered at ll a.m. Wednesday at the St. Joseph Workman Catholic Church in Yacolt. Burial was in the Yacolt Cemetery.

Mr. Letcher is survived by three sons; Patrick Letcher of Yacott, Robert Letcher of Hot Springs, S.D. and Donald Letcher of Minot, N.D., a daughter Mrs. Marcel Sudan of Vacolt; one brother Philip Letcher of Yacolt and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Peterson of Yacolt.
