Wilbur Harold Buffum, 61, of Elmhurst, a brother of Rollo and Carroll Buffum both of Canton, died unexpectedly Sunday night. He had gone for a walk earlier that night and was found by police after apparently collapsing before returning to his home.
Mr. Buffum had been employed as railway postal clerk.
A son of Curtis and Effie May [sic:Mae] (Wheeler) Buffum, he was born Oct. 14, 1900, near Cuba. He was a 1918 graduate of Cuba High School.
He is survived by his wife, the former Lucille East, whom he married Jan. 12, 1933, in Walnut Ridge, Ark.
His father, Curtis Buffum of Cuba, also survives, as do four brothers, Rollo, of 167 E. Beech St., and Carroll of 443 N. 1st Ave., John of Cuba, and Ernest of Wichita, Kan.; four sisters, Mrs. Marie Waughtel of Lewistown, Mrs. Ruby Deakin of Fiatt, Mrs. Bessie Huffman of Bushnell, and Mrs. Marjorie Jones of Hanna City; nine nephews, six nieces, four great-nieces and two great-nephews.
McNab Funeral Home in Pochontas, Ark, is in charge of funeral services.
