SURGOINSVILLE — Rev. Don Anderson, 62, went to be with the Lord Saturday (Oct. 27, 2007) at his home in Surgoinsville after a brief illness.
He was a minister for over 35 years. He loved music, antique cars, and was an avid hunter. He was an auxiliary deputy of the Sullivan County Sheriff's Department. He loved his dogs, Twinkie and Lacey.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Delphia and Carl Anderson; brother, Homer Anderson; sister, Betty Arnold.
He is survived by his wife, Faye Anderson, Surgoinsville; daughters, Sonia Russell and husband, Rodney, Kingsport, Lora Anderson, Kingsport; grandson, and his little buddy, Joshua Russell, Kingsport; sisters, Ruby Housewright, Dorothy Mullins, both of Surgoinsville; brothers, Delmar Anderson, Doyle Anderson, both of Surgoinsville.
Calling hours will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill.
Funeral service will be Monday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. L.E. Wolfe, officiating.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Community Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
