SHE MARRIED JAMES WESLEY ARNOLD ON 11 APR 1964. GOD BLESSED THIS MARRIAGE WITH THE FOLLOWING CHIDLREN: KATHY DELOIS, KAREN RAE, KIMBERLY SUE AND JAMES KEVIN.

SURGOINSVILLE – BETTY E. Anderson Arnold, age 58, Surgoinsville, died Thursday, July 20, 2000, at Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center following a lengthy illness. She was a livelong resident of Hawkins County and a member of Looney's Chapel Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Arnold; parents, Carl and Mary Delphia Fansler Anderson; brother, Homer Anderson; and two infant brothers.

She is survived by three daughters, Kathy Barton, Morristown, Karen Mullins and Kimberly Buttry, both of Rogersville; a son, Kevin Arnold of the home; three grandsons, Jason Barton, Dustin Arnold and Kevin Buttry; two sisters, Ruby Housewright, Surgoinsville, and Dorothy Mullins, Rogersville; three brothers, Don Anderson, Kingsport, Delmar Anderson and Doyle Anderson, both of Surgoinsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2000, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Church Hill. Friends may call any time at the brother's residence, Delmar Anderson, 118 Simmons Road, Surgoinsville.

Services will be held 8 p.m. Saturday, July 23, 2000, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Wayne Ferrell, Rev. Truman Ferguson and Rev. Edward Johnson officiating.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2000, at Bethel Church Cemetery, Surgoinsville.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Wade, Ricky Housewright, Scott Anderson, Eddie Watkins, Rodney Russell, Josh Lafollette and Paul Lewis.
