Bladenboro - Mrs. Dorothy Jackson Malette, 72, of Village Street, died Sunday in Duke University Medical Center in Durham.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn by the Rev. Jonathan Simmons. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Evergreen.
Mrs. Malette is survived by a daughter, Patricia W. Lewis of Maiden; two brothers, Dennis Jackson of Smithfield and Stancil Jackson of Anchorage, Alaska; six sisters, Nina Grimsley of Tennessee, Nellie Richardson of Chadbourn, Leona Byrd of Lumberton, Evelyn Byrd and Dalma Walker, both of Fayetteville, and Dessie Cox of Bladenboro; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
