Rubie May Marcy married Luther Allen on May 2, 1908 at Charlemont, MA. Rubie had a twin brother, Ray Marcy, who died at 3 days. Edwin C Temple was their uncle.

Mrs. Luther W Allen

Shelburne Falls - Mrs Ruby [sic] M Allen, 71, of 5 Creamery Ave., died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at the Franklin County public hospital [Greenfield Mass.].

She was born in Charlemont Oct. 24, 1888, the daughter of Gilbert and Mary Temple Marcy. A resident of Shelburne Falls for the past 48 years, she was a member of the Morther's [sic] Club of William Butler Memorial Methodist Church.

Besides her husband, Luther W Allen she leaves one daughter Mrs Madeline Davis of Newmarket, N.H.; three sons, Malcolm and Gilbert of Shelburne Falls and Gordon of Florence; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Private funeral services will be Thursday at 11 at the Johnson funeral home with Rev Louis F Kirlin of Trinity Fellowship officiating. Burial will be in Army [sic] Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours.
