Leonard J Arndorfer 88 died Wednesday Aug 14 1996 in the Good Samaritan Center at Algona where he had been a resident since July 23.
Casket bearers were Wayne Arndorfer, Kenneth Arndorfer, Albert Lickteig, Tom Arndorfer, Mike Afndorfer, and Jack Lichter.
Leonard J son of John and Caroline Mulert Arndorfer, was born at St Benedict on May 4 1906. He was educated in the St Benedict Catholic School.
Len was married to Mildred Loebig Sept 10 1930 in St Joseph Catholic Church at Wesley. They farmed in the St Benedict area.
The Arndorfers moved into Wesley in 1969, but Len continued to farm until he retired in 1972.
Lee was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church, a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus at Algona, he enjoyed playing golf, traveling, his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife Mildred, who now resides at the Good Samaritan Center; a son Dan, Marion IA, and a daughter Sister Vicky of Cedar Rapids.
Five brothers and sisters also survive, Erma Lichter, Clarence 'Bud" Arndorfer, Arthur, who resides at the Good Samaritan Center, and Mary Ann, Mrs Ray McKenna, all of Algona, and Betty Mrs Gordon Loebig, Sun City, AZ.
His parents, two sisters and a brother, Matilda Goetz, Lorraine Campbell and Arnold Arndorfer, are deceased.
