She was the fourth child and second daughter of John Columbus Hunt and Docia Emeline Perkins. She married Commodore Wiggins on 13 Nov 1922 in Vernon Parish, Louisiana. She is the mother of Margie Irene, Imogene, Glenn Eugene, Norma Jane, Donald Wayne, Grace Marie, and Docia Inez Wiggins.
