Mrs. WENCESLAS BOUTIN
Mrs. Celestine (Goulet) Boutin, 82, widow of Wenceslas Boutin and a resident of Bennington since 1922, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon at her home at 330 Safford St. In frail health for two months, she had been a patient at Putnam Memorial Hospital for two weeks, but returned home Thursday and was believed making satisfactory recovery.

She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and belonged to St. Anne Society of that church. Her church and family had been her main interests. Her husband died July 19, 1953. They had observed their golden wedding anniversary the year before.
Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Paul (Yvonne) LeClerc, Mrs. Paul (Clarina) Bellemare, Miss Emma Boutin and Mrs. Charles (Gabrielle) Bortell, all of Bennington, and Mrs. Gerard (Lydia) Delisle of St. Petersburg, Fla.; five sons, Joseph of Williamsett, Mass.; Leon, Louis O., Jules and Roland, all of Bennington; one brother, Joseph Goulet of Canada; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Dupoint of Canada and Mrs. Aldina Mecieau of Holyoke, Mass.; 22 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at Mahar & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday at 8:30 am and at 9 in Sacred Heart Church where a Solemn High Mass will be offered. Entombment will take place in Park Lawn Chapel and burial will be in that cemetery in the spring.
Friends may call at the funeral home today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm when the family will be in attendance. There will be recitation of the Rosary at the funeral home tonight at 8.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that relatives and friends who wish may make memorials to the Propagation of the Faith in her memory, either through the Sacred Heart Rectory or the funeral home.
**** According to their youngest daughters birth record Wenceslas and Celestine (Goulet) Boutin had 15 children born with only 13 alive including Gabrielle. I have the 13. I believe that the other two were born and died in Canada.
