Obituary for Erma E. Donley in The Macomb Journal, March 28, 1993:

Erma E. Janssen, 92, of Augusta died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 1993 at Memorial Hospital in Carthage.

She was born Jan. 8, 1901 near Big Neck to Anderson and Nora (Maynard) Donley. She married August F. Janssen June 18, 1924 at Big Neck. He died April 6, 1992.

Surviving are two sons, Clyde of Plymouth and Dean of Augusta; two daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Jean) Allen of Lancaster, Calif. and Doris Kerr of Augusta; one brother, Dale Donley of Mendon; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She graduated from Mendon High School and attended Carthage College. She attended the Faith Lutheran Church in Augusta and was a member of the Augusta Senior Citizens.

Services are at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Faith Lutheran Church in Augusta with the Rev. Brooks Schramm officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will meet with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta.

Memorials may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church of Augusta Senior Citizens Center.
