Doris E. Kerr, 81, of the Golden Good Shepherd Home in Golden, Il. formerly of Huntsville, Il. died at 1:00 a.m. Thursday January 31, 2013 in the home. She was born on February 23, 1931 in Coatsburg, Il. to August and Erma Donley Janssen. She married Donald Kerr on March 25, 1951 in Augusta, Il. He preceded her in death February 18, 1991. She later married Arthur Wagner. He preceded her in death January 2, 2010. Doris was a homemaker and farmer. She was a 1950 graduate of Augusta High School and a member of the former Huntsville United Methodist Church in which she was active as a Sunday school and Bible school teacher and the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Help Each Other club and had volunteered as a teacher's aid with the Southeastern School District. She is survived by a daughter, Donna Price of Mahomet, Il., 3 sons, David (Katie) Kerr of Macomb, Il., Robert Kerr (Audrey Eyler) of Huntsville, Il., Roger (Teresa) Kerr of Huntsville, Il., 5 grandchildren, Tim (Michelle) Kerr, Lorree Kerr, Douglas (Allison) Humes, Lisa (Nathan) O'Bryan, Nathan Pindell, 8 great grandchildren, Ali, Abi, Ani and Carson Kerr, Hailey White, Issabella O'Bryan, Parker O'Bryan and Vincent Humes, 2 brothers, Clyde Jannsen of Plymouth, Il., Dean (Wilma) Janssen of Augusta, Il. a brother-in- law, Ernie Allen of Lancaster, Ca. and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Johnnie Kerr in infancy, a sister, Jean Allen and a sister-in-law, Deloris Janssen Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday February 2, 2013 in the Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta, Il. by Rev. Bruce Wieman. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery in Augusta. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Golden Good Shepherd Home. The Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta, Il. is handling arrangements.
