Services for Iva Mae Gallant, 89, were held Wednesday, Jan 20, at 11 a.m. from the Congregational church, Amery, with the Rev. Barry Schaefer officiating.
Organist was Mona Rasmussen Spring interment will be in the Amery cemetery with Williamson Funeral Home, Amery, in charge. Iva Mae Gallant was born Aug. 8, 1898 in Estherville, Ia., the daughter of Dimmie and John Brunner. She was married in Minneapolis to Victor Gallant on Dec. 30, 1919, and they lived in Minneapolis for the next 29 years until Vic retired from the Park Board. They moved to Water's Edge Apartments in Amery in 1981 and lived there until November 1986 when they moved in Golden Age Manor.
Mrs. Gallant died Sunday, Jan. 17 [1988] at Golden Age Manor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters and four brothers. Survivors include her husband, Victor of Amery; a sister, Ida Mechling of Amery; other relatives and friends. (Amery Free Press, Amery, WI, Jan 19, 1988)
