George Washington Robinson, youngest child of Capt. Ephraim Robinson and Mary Upham, b. May 14, 1814 at Pawlet, VT. He d. Oct. 2, 1878 (not Feb. 10, 1878 as often written) at Friendship, NY.

• i. Athalia Adelaide Robinson, b. in 1846 likely at Friendship, NY, d. in 1928 prob. at Pittsfield, Mass. where for 18 years she had been residing with her only dau.; m. 1) by 1867, Charles H. Wellman, s. of Arba Wellman and Esther Burt, b. Oct. 21, 1846 at Friendship, NY. He d. May 6, 1879. Two children of the family. She m. 2) as his 2nd wife at Mt. Vernon, Posey County, Indiana, Milton W. Pearse, s. of Benjamin and Mary Pearse, b. July 4, 1841 at Friendship, NY. He d. Apr. 22, 1884 at Mt. Vernon, Indiana less than two months after their marriage.

• ii. Cora Winnifred Robinson, b. Feb. 29, 1848 (ND Death Cert.) at Friendship, NY, d. Mar. 15, 1919 at Lisbon, North Dakota (ND Death Cert.); m. Matthias L. Engle, Jr., s. of Matthias L. Engle and Deborah Watts, b. in 1843 at Angelica, NY. He d. Apr. 25, 1908 at Lisbon, North Dakota (date of death per an extensive sketch of him in the 1917 pub. History of North Dakota). One child of the family, s. Floyd Chester Engle, b. Sept. 4, 1876 at Friendship, NY. Floyd never m. and died Feb. 14, 1944 at Cass County and interred at Lisbon, Ransom County, ND.

• iii. May L. Robinson, b. in Oct. 1854 (1900 census) at Friendship, NY; m. Sept. 1, 1880 at Friendship, the Hon. Sheridan McArthur Norton, s. of Joseph and Prudence Norton, b. May 1, 1848 at Amity, NY. He d. Apr. 15, 1905 at Friendship. One child of the family, George Robinson Norton, who married but died childless in 1926 at Buffalo, NY.

• George W. Robinson, b. Nov 18, 1860 at Friendship, NY, d. Apr. 26, 1943 at Buffalo, NY; m. circa 1888, Cora M. Elliott, dau. of Ittai Joab Elliott and his wife Martha, b. in Oct. 1868 at Alma, NY (1900 census). She d. Jan. 15, 1943 at Buffalo, NY. There were no children of the marriage.

With the death of George and Athalia's grandson Floyd Chester Engle in 1944, the male line of their family became extinct. And, with the death of their unmarried granddau. Cora Winnifred Wellman in 1955, the female line of the family became extinct.
