Rosa Vasquez was the third daughter born to Hilario Lopez Vasquez and Enriqueta Lyles. She was baptized on 24 February 1918 by Father Brocardus Eeken according to the parish register records of St. Joseph, Fort Davis, Jeff Davis, Texas (FHL 25071, Book 6, page 95). Her Padrinos were Isidro Garcia Jr. and his wife Maria Lyles de Galindo. She married Miguel Rodriguez in 1940. Their children were: Olivia (Libby) Contreras, Fermin Rodriguez, Jose V Rodriguez, Ismael Rodriguez, Irma Rodriguez, Jaime V Rodriguez, and Norma Rodriguez.

Her maternal grandparents were Roberto E Lyles and Herculana Rivera of La Loma, Toyahvale; and paternal grandparents, Bernardino Vasquez and Severiana Lopez.
