Elizabeth Meyers married Michael Adrian on January 11, 1888 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He was a veteran of the Civil War and served 3 years with the 27th Iowa Volunteer Infantry. She had been previously married to James Graham.

Obituary

Mrs. Elizabeth Adrian, 68, widow of Michael Meyers*, private in Company D, 27th Infantry, Iowa Civil War Division, died this morning at the home of her daughter Mrs. Wilber Arts, 3331 Third Avenue, North Racine, following a long illness.

She was born in Switzerland and came to Wisconsin with her parents when seven years old. Ten years ago she came to Racine to live with her daughter. Surviving are two sons, John Graham of Chippewa Falls and Clyde Adrian of Pittsville, Wis; six daughters, Mrs. Ada Toy, Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Wilber Arts and Mrs. John Gemberg of Racine; Mrs. Art Killsow of Bloomer, Wis; Mrs. Henry Kampf of Eau Clair; Mrs. John Beauleau of Holcomb, Wis; 19 grandchildren; three great grandchildren.

The body will be removed on Sunday afternoon from the Dahl Funeral home to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Arts, where it may be viewed. Funeral services will be held at the Arts home on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. R.E. Bauerle officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.

* Note the name Michael Meyers is an obvious error (which incidentally was also on the death certificate). She was married to Michael Adrian. Meyers was her maiden name. Elaine J.
