Louise Emelie is the daughter of Pierre Frederick Simon and Melanie Gauchat. She married her cousin, Francois Charles, who came to America first. "On the ship 'Elizabeth Hamilton,' David Vautravers travelled with his wife, Sophie, and children Louise, Eugene and Emma. Also on the ship were Louise Simon (wife of Francois Charles) and her children Louise, Louis and Emma. Also traveling with them are Frederick and Sophie Zurcher."
