Blacksmith Dies

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 8, at 2 o'clock for Christopher C. Fox, aged 82, well known retired blacksmith, of Morrisville, who died at his home Sunday morning, Jan. 6, 1934, at 10 o'clock, following an illness due to ailments incident to his advanced years. The rites will be held in the Fox residence, in charge of Rev. W. T. Lantz, of Morrisville, assisted by Rev. H. L. Leland, pastor of the Morrisville Methodist Protestant Church. Interment will be in the Kirby Cemetery.

Mr. Fox was born March 7, 1852, in Whiteley Township, a son of John and Dorothy Haines Fox, and spent all his life in Greene County. He followed farming and blacksmithing, and for the past several years had resided in Morrisville. He married Caroline Ferguson, who survives. He also leaves two foster children, J. C. Fox, of Morrisville, and Mrs. A. R. Scott, of Clarksburg, W. Va., and the following brothers and sisters; Taylor Fox and William Fox, of Kirby; Luther Fox, of Morgantown, W. Va.; Daily Fox, of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. George W. Patterson, of Waynesburg, and Mrs. Jane Walters of Spraggs.
