Taylor Fox, aged 86 years, well known Whiteley Township farmer and stockman, died Saturday afternoon, May 11, 1946, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wilbert Lemley, of Kirby. Mr. Fox had been ill for some time, suffering from a complication of ailments incident to his advanced years.
A lifelong resident of the Kirby community, he was born September 12, 1859, in Whiteley Township, a son of John and Dorothy Haines Fox. He married Salome Guthrie, whose death occurred 11 years ago. Mr. Fox was a member of the Kirby Methodist Church. He leaves two daughters and four sons, namely: Mrs. James H. (Osie) Hickman and Mrs. Wilbert (Rosa) Lemley of Kirby; John and Walter C. Fox, of R. D. 2, Waynesburg; Jesse Fox, of R. D. 3, Waynesburg; and Sanford A. Fox, of Kirby. One son and one daughter are deceased.
There are 34 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. One brother, William Fox, R. D. 3, Waynesburg, also survives.
