He was born February 7, 1869 in Whiteley Township, the son of John and Dorothy Haines Fox.
Mr. Fox's wife, the former Estella Headley, died March 7, 1949.
All of his life was spent in Whiteley Township where he followed farming and stock raising. He was a life-time member of the Claughton Chapel Methodist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Daws Kiger, of Waynsburg, R. D. 3; one son, Rev. Chauncey I. Fox, of Mirgantown, W. Va.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
One son. W. R. Fox, is deceased.
Mr. Fox was the last of 10 children.
Services were held Tuesday with burial in Claughton Chapel Cemetery.
