Born May 28, 1921, in Rockford, the daughter of Rosario and Maria (Cacciatore) Chiarelli. She was employed as a pit boss at various casinos in Las Vegas. As a resident of Rockford, she owned several local bars. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She also served in the WACS during World War II.
Sarah is survived by grandchildren, Patrick (Diane) Cooling and Michael (Nora) Cooling; great-granddaughter, Isabel Cooling; daughter-in-law, Nancy Cooling; sister, Roseanne Klein; niece, Maria (John) Howard of Rockford; and nephews, John (Lisa) Klein of Minnesota and Tim Klein of Rockford.
She is preceded in death by son, Wilfred "Junior" Cooling; brother, John Chiarelli; and parents.
Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with the Franciscan Friars officiating.
Private burial in St. Mary/St. James Cemetery.
Arrangements by Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred.

Sarah A. Cacciapaglia, 85, of Las Vegas, died Feb. 11, 2007. She was a retired pit boss for the Tropicana Casino and served in the Women's Auxiliary Army Corps. She is survived by her companion, Joe Monti of Las Vegas. Services will be held at a later date in Rockford, Ill. Donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
