She was a faithful member of St. Peters Evangelical Church in Champaign. She was also a member of the Women's Society, Ladies Aid Society and Adult Sunday School Class of the Church.
In her early years she lived on the family farm in Somer Township, just north of Champaign near Leverett, Illinois. According to 1893 land records, their family had over 230 acres of land near her Uncle Jacob and his family. She lived with her parents until she married William in 1908. At that time they moved to another farm in Scott Townswhip south of Champaign, Illinois. She lived there until her death in 1929. She was a farmer's wife.

She passed away at the young age of 39 at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 18 Sep 1929 at Burnham City Hospital in Champaign, Illinois. She had been in failing health over the last 3 years prior to her death. Funeral services were conducted on Friday, 20 Sep 1929 at St. Peters Evangelical Church. She was buried in Section 6, lot 11, Sp 1 of Woodlawn Cemetery in Urbana, Illinois.
