"George Goebel, 73 years old, for 43 years a citizen of Harris County, died at 6:16 o'clock Monday morning at his home 844 Cortlandt Street, Houston Heights. Mr Goebel was engaged in the grocery business in Houston during the early years, but for the past two years he had not been engaged in any business on account of his health.
"Mr Goebel is survived by his widow, three daughters, Misses Agnes, Louise and Helen Goebel and two sons John and George.
"The funeral will be held from the family residence at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, with Rev Father Gallagher officiating. Interment will be made in Holy Cross Cemetery."
