Otes Arch Allison, 78, Stockton, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, in his home. He was born Oct. 10, 1925, in Payne County, Okla., the son of Tolbert Whitfield Allison and Cora Elizabeth Downey. He served in the US Navy during WWII. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Leona Snodgrass on Nov. 19, 1949. He moved to Meade, Kan., and soon became REA General Manager for CMS Electric. in 1980 he and Dorothy moved to Girard, Kan., where he was General Manager for Sekan Electric until his retirement in 1989. He then moved to Stockton, Mo., where he raised cattle and horses. He was a member of the Stockton United Methodist Church. He was a Shriner of the Mirza Temple of Pittsburg, Kan., and Mirza Mounted Patrol. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge. He was a life member of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry. He was also a member of the Stockton Saddle Club. Survivors include: his wife of 54 years, Dorothy, Stockton; two daughters, Connie and husband Russ Gowin, Wichita, Kan., and Jackie and husband Don Tavener, Lenexa, Kan.; a son Ron and his wife, Riki, Lebanon, Mo.; one brother Ray, Greensburg, Kan.; six sisters, Vera Pritchett, Ulysses, Kan., Lavita Garner, Haysville, Kan., Lavina Bradford, Mae Smith, Marie Hawkins, Nell Bush, all of Hutchinson, Kan.; six grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tolbert and Cora, and two brothers, Robert and Lester. visitation is Tuesday, Oct. 28 from 7 to 8 p.m. in Brumback Funeral Home, Stockton. Memorial services are 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29 in Stockton Methodist Church Life Center. Contributions may be sent to Stockton Methodist Church building fund or the Shriners Children's Hospital in care of Brumbeck Funeral Home.
