Coalville, April 15-One of the largest funerals ever held in Coalville was that which took place from the Stake Tabernacle yesterday afternoon over the remains of Joseph T. Wilde, who died at Park City early Friday morning from an attack of appendicitis, after an operation. Deceased belonged to one of the largest families in the State of Utah, that of Wilde, and the large building was almost half filled with near relatives. The young man was very popular, and his many friends turned out to show their respects to the stricken wife and children. The speakers at the services were Elders J.H. Williams, J.A. Astin and Alma Eldredge, and the singing was done by the ward choir. Deceased was born in Coalville nearly 34 years ago, being the son of Henry and Jane Wilde, both of whom are dead. About fourteen years ago, he was married to Ann Booth, by whom he had four children, all living, the youngest being about one year old. His parents were among the oldest settlers of this place, and were very prominent people.
