GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Dee LaVar Smith, 68, Fruita, Colo., formerly of Price, died here March 13, 1983.

He was born Feb. 22, 1915 in Wattis, Utah, to Joseph and Estella Holt Smith.

He married Belva Carlson. She survives.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Masonic Lodge, and was a supporter of Little League and the Boy Scouts. He was a veteran of World War II.

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Cleveland City Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.

Graveside services Tuesday 2:00 p.m. in the Cleveland City Cemetery under direction of Fausett Mortuary.
