Martha Mae Reed, age 70 of Miola Reed Rd, Clarion, died 10/19/09 at her home. Born on 1/30/39 in Reidsburg, father-Villard Byers and mother Ruth Klingensmith Byers, both preceded her in death. She was married on May 28, 1977 to Leslie Earl Hickory Reed who preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 2008.

She was a member of the Grace Community Church in Curlsville. Worked at Chandler Dining Hall at Clarion University for 16 years.

She enjoyed cooking, baking and doing her crafts and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors, Three brothers, Paul and his wife Phyllis Byers of Clarion, Villard Jr. Byers from Sligo, Nelson and his wife Debbie Byers of New Bethlehem, one sister, Ermagean and her husband John Saylor of Sligo 2 step sons, Leslie Reed Jr and his wife Lori of Strattanville, Mark "Doug" Reed and his wife Nellie "Sox" of Miola, 1-step daughter, Bernice McClain of Miola, 4-grand daughters, Melinda Coultes of Strattanville, Melissa Campbell and husband Barry of Limestone, Michelle DeSanto and husband Eric of Limestone, Gloria Lambing and husband Dan of Miola, 3-grand sons, Jason Reed and Christine Bartzer of Shippenville, Cory Yoho & Rob Yoho of Strattanville, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandson, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2-sisters Ruth Ann Switzer and Romaine Mong, 2-nieces Christine and Patti Switzer and a grand daughter, Jill Eselman.

Visitation will be held on Wed. from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory, 330 Wood St, Clarion, PA: Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday from the funeral home with Rev. Randy Evans of the Clarion-Forest VNA officiating. Interment will be held in the Miola Cemetery.

Memorial may be made to the Shiloh Presbyterian Church. On line memorials may be sent to www.goblefh.net.
