Romaine Yvonne Mong, 72, of Upper Elk Acres Road, Knox, died Monday, March 7, 2005, in Clarview Nursing Home near Sligo.

Born in Clarion County April 6, 1932, she was the daughter of Villard Byers Sr. and Ruth Buella Klingensmith Byers.
Mrs. Mong worked from 1952 to 1964 at Owens-Brockway.
She was a lifelong resident of the Clarion area and attended Faith Church of the Nazarene of Cranberry.
Mrs. Mong enjoyed her family, gardening, sewing and traveling.
She was married Nov. 19, 1955, to Harry John Mong Jr., who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Shelby Mong of New York City, Rhonda Brehm and husband, Steve, of Scappoose, Ore., and Cheryl Peck and husband, Kevin, of Largo, Fla.; and six grandchildren, Greg, Andrea and Dylan Brehm of Scappoose, Ore., Justin Brehm of Italy and
Megan and Amanda Peck of Largo, Fla.
She also is survived by three brothers, Paul Byers of Clarion, Villard Byers Jr. of Sligo and Nelson Byers of New Bethlehem; and two
sisters, Ermajean Saylor of Sligo and Martha Reed of Clarion.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1989, her mother in 1987 and her sister, Ruth Switzer in 1985.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Goble Funeral Home, Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. Friday in the funeral home
with the Rev. Leonard Goughler officiating.
Interment will follow in Cedarview Memorial Park.
