Paul C. Byers, age 85 of Rt 68, Clarion Pa died peacefully Sunday with his family at his side at the Clarview Nursing Home near Sligo. He was born in Reidsburg, Pa on December 11, 1929, the son of the late Villard Wayne Byers Sr and Ruth B. (Klingensmith) Byers. Mr. Byers worked at the (WPABC) Western Pa Artificial Breeding Corp, then working at the Clarion Vulcanizing and Francis J. Palo all of Clarion. He was a former member of the First Regular Baptist Church of Reidsburg, enjoyed Gravely tractors and gardening. He was married on Aug 18, 1950 to Phyllis L. Kuhns who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Sylvia F. Pringle and her husband Bruce, three grandchildren, Angela Byers-Krantz and her husband Chad, Kristen McKinney, Jake Pringle and his wife (Hannah), Six great grandchildren, Shannon, Tyler and Jadyn Byers-Krantz, Ryleigh, Sophie and Brett Pringle, two brothers, V.W. Byers Jr and Nelson and his wife (Debbie) Byers, one sister, Erma Jean and her husband (John) Saylor, a daughter in law Rosemary Byers along with numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Robert P. Byers, a grandson James P. Byers, three sisters, Romaine Mong, Martha Mae Reed and Ruth Ann Switzer and two nieces.
Visitation will be held at the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory in Clarion on Friday from 2-4, 7-9. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Sat from the funeral home with Dr. Don Dininny and Randy Leadbetter co officiating. Interment will follow in the Churchville Cemetery.
