Marjorie G. Wilson, 85, of 200-A Wilson Road in the Green Creek Community died Sept 20, 2000, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
A native of Spartanburg County, she was the of A.B. Wilson and daughter of the late Tommy and Mabelle Robbins Gilbert. She was a homemaker and member Sandy Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include include six daughters, Josephine Calloway, Ruth Goff and Rachel Bosket, all of Spartanburg, Betty Godfrey of Green Creek, Toni Britt of Inman and Hazel Diezt of Wellford; six sons Robert A. Wilson of Raleigh, Jack A. Wilson of Moore, Jimmy D. Wilson of Inman, Roy R. Wilson of Clarksville ,Tenn., Ronnie W. Wilson of Spartanburg and Richard L. Wilson of Green Creek; two sisters, Ophelia Boiter of Fairforest and Correll
Crenshaw of Seneca; one brother, James "Woody" Gilbert of Glen Springs; 27 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 7-9 tonight at Eggers Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sandy Springs Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Ron Gilbert and Beverly Wilson. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
The family is at the home of Hazel Dietz, 309 Emmie Lane, Wellford.
Eggers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
