GEO. B. SPENCER DIES FRIDAY OF HEART ATTACK

George Boardman Spencer, 76, died Friday of a heart attack.
According to reports Mr. Spencer accompanied by Chris Tueller, were driving over to Bern when their car became stalled in the snow. George began shoveling snow in an effort to get moving once again, when he suffered the heart attack. Mr Tueller summoned aid and rushed the stricken man to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
He was born Febr. 7, 1876, at Paris, Idaho, a son of George B. and Lenora Taylor Horne Spencer. He married Adelina Horsley Sept. 5, 1900 in the Salt Lake Temple. She died in April of 1943. Three days following his marriage he was called to serve a mission for the LDS Church in the Eastern States from 1900 to 1902.
Mr. Spencer operated a general merchandise store in Paris from 1906 to 1915, after which he engaged in farming. He had enjoyed very good health and took care of the farm chores. He was an active member of the Paris First Ward, and was a high priest at the time of his death.
Surviving are three sons and three daughters. Horsley Spencer of Dingle, G. Albert Spencer of Pleasant Grove, Utah, John W. Spencer of Paris, Lucille Spencer of Provo, Utah, Mrs Alice Christensen of Lafayette, Ind., Mrs. Leonora Stucki of Idaho Falls; four brothers, Joseph H. Spencer and Herbert L. Spencer of Salt Lake City, Seymour H. Spencer of Fillmore, Utah, and Edwin Spencer of Magna, Utah.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Paris 1st Ward chapel, with Bishop Morris B. Athay conducting.
Postlude and prelude played by Mrs. Jane Matthews. Vocal duet, "Sunset," Bp. and Mrs. James Olsen; prayer, Frank Nye; remarks, Bishop Morris B. Athay; organ solo, "Oh My Father," Jane Matthews; speaker, J. Henry Humpherys; vocal solo, "My Task," Max Haddock; speaker, Clarence Rich; duet, "A Perfect Day," Bp. and Mrs. James Olsen; prayer, Dan C. Rich. Grave dedication by Cyril S. Budge.
Ruth Pugmire was accompanist for Mr. and Mrs. Olsen, and Ruby Bolton accompanied at the piano for Max Haddock.
E. W. Stucki offered the prayer at the home. Pallbearers: Horsley Spencer, James Spencer, Albert Spencer, Eugene Stucki, Cyril Budge, M. H. Collings.
