Lucy Hooten, 83, of springfield, died Monday, March 31, 2003 in her residence. She was born April 10, 1919 in Pallmall, Tennessee, the daughter of Henry and Emmer (Delk) Barnett. Lucy was a homemaker most of her life and a member of Jehovah's Witness West Congregation. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Theodore of Sprinfngfield, three sons, Howard G. Hooten of Springfield, L. David (Carol) Hooten and Thomas (Barbara) Hooten both of Mechanicsburg, Ohio; a daughter, Sharon (Glen) Shoemaker of St. Paris, Ohio; 24 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold and Paul Barnett of Xenis, Ohio and two sisters, Loma Green of Jamestown, Tennessee and Geneva Davis of Pallmall, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Maude, Lola Charles and Hazel Cook. Her bory was entrusted to the WOOD-ALLGIER FUNERAL HOME, where fiends may call Wednesday from 1-3 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home, Wednesday at 3 p.m. with Elder Richard York officiating. Interment will follow in Newcomers Cemetery.
