Mrs. Mary Jenks, wife of Stephen Jenks of Bono, departed this life on last Thursday morning after a two weeks illness with typhoid fever, aged about 55. Mrs. Jenks was a most estimable lady, a good Christian, and was highly esteemed by all her many friends and acquaintances. In her death, society loses a valuable member, the husband an affectionate wife, and the children a kind mother. A great concourse of friends and relatives followed her remains to the church and cemetery at Bono to attend the last sad rites in memory of the departed. Rev. Meredith conducted the funeral services.
