H.C. James, of Helt Township, died Tuesday, September 4, 1894, of typhoid fever, after an illness of 5 weeks. He was about 45 years of age, and a highly respected citizen. He had been a member of the M.E. Church for 20 years. He leaves a wife and 2 children to mourn his loss. His remains were interred in the Helt Township Cemetery Thursday afternoon. The funeral services were held at the Salem Church, Rev. J.E. Wright officiating.
