Salome T. Garcia, 88, passed away July 31, 2010. He will be remembered as a kind, loving and extraordinarily strong man, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He was born in Pasamonte, NM on August 7, 1921. He married his wife, Theresa, 63 years ago on May 15, 1947. He has five children; daughters, Margaret Wells and husband John, Elizabeth "Betty" Grange and husband Gary; sons, Philip Garcia and wife Elma, Richard Garcia and wife Elizabeth "Liz", Timothy Garcia and wife Patricia; He has 14 grandchildren; Elizabeth "Lizzie" Sadlo-Tegland and husband Kirk, Frank Sadlo and wife Tracy, Chad Grange, Adam Garcia, Kacie Grange, Michael Brandon Garcia, Jennifer Detrana, Catherine Garcia, Aaron Garcia, Christopher Garcia, Brian Garcia, Nickelas Garcia, Hillary Garcia, and Hailey Garcia; He has three great-grandchildren, Legacie Sadlo, Samantha Detrana and Jaxon Sadlo; He has two sisters, Josephine Garcia and Cleo Barbara. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fructuoso and Modesta Garcia; brothers, Vidal Garcia, Louis Garcia, Frank Garcia, Emilio Garcia, Fructuoso Garcia Jr.; and sister, Rafaelita Garcia. He served his country in the Navy as a radioman from 1942-1945. He retired in 1995 from the All Indian Pueblo Housing Authority. Special thanks to the staff at the New Mexico Cancer Center. They showed such care and concern and made his last few days comfortable.
