Services: At 7 p.m., Wednesday, a rosary be recited on Wednesday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Tucumcari. At 2 p.m. on Thursday a mass of the resurrection will be celebrated at St. Anne's Church.
Rafaelita Garcia Tixier, 81, passed died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, at her home in Tucumcari.
Mrs. Tixier was born Feb. 9, 1926 in Pasamont , N.M. She attended school in Clayton, N.M. She had been a long time resident of Tucumcari, where she had been a homemaker and was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church.
Surviving Mrs. Tixier are: her husband, Cyril Tixier, of Tucumcari; four daughters, Suzanne (Ronnie) Williams of Dallas/Ft Worth, Jeanie Mullins of Washington state, Monique Tixier of Tucumcari and Mary Carpenter of Mustang, Okla.; four sons, Jaques Tixier of Gallup, Arthur Tixier of Tucumcari, Quentin (Ruby) Tixier and David Tixier, both of Conchas Dam; grandchildren, Jennifer Chamberlin, Jason Tixier, Bobbie Williams, Nick Tixier, Janet Rivera, Matthew Tixier, Jaclyn Garnett,Tyler and Rebecca Carpenter and Teresa Tixier; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pall Bearers will be Tyler Carpenter, Matthew Tixier, Bobby Williams, Jaclyn Garnett, Nick Tixier, Janet Tixier.
Burial will follow Thursday's services in the family plot at the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
