Hazleton Standard Speaker; Saturday, March 24, 1962:
Joseph Franklin Yeager, 711 North James street, died this morning at 9 o'clock at Danville. He had been ailing for about three years. Born in this city, the deceased was a son of the late Christian and Fredericka (Ahlborn) Yeager. He had resided in this city most of his life and was of the Lutheran faith.

Surviving are his wife, the former Clara Yeager; three daughters, Mrs. John (Marie) Lamont, Mrs. Carmen (Clara) Esposito and Mrs. Calvin (Louise) Grebey, all of this city; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Thomas James, this city; Mrs. Martha Drum, Freeland; and Mrs. Tobias Eichler, Wilkes-Barre; and one brother, Raymond Yeager, this city.

The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Grebey Funeral Home with Rev. Allen H. Roth, of Christ Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will be in Vine Street Cemetery. Friends may call from Monday at 3 p.m. until time of the funeral.
