Mrs. Christ Yeager, former resident of this city, who now is living with her daughter, Mrs. Martha Drum, of 929 Ridge street, Freeland, will observe her 98th birthday anniversary on Sunday. Because of serious illness which has her bedfast, the occasion will be marked very quietly. Up until she became ill, she was active and performed light household duties daily. She moved to Freeland 14 years ago.
Mrs. Yeager was born in Germany and came to this country at the age of 13 with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Zacharias Ahlborn. Mrs. Yeager is a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, of this city. She is the mother of eleven children, six of whom are living. They are: Mrs. Emma James, and Joseph and Raymond Yeager, all of this city; Christ Yeager, of Bethlehem; Mrs. Drum, of Freeland, and Mrs. Tobias Eichler, of Wilkes-Barre.
