'Christ Yeager Dead.'
Christ Yeager, of Arthur street, one of the best known citizens of Hazleton, died this morning after suffering for some time from typhoid pneumonia. No arrangements have yet been made for the funeral.
Deceased was a resident of this city for many years and is survived besides his wife by the following children: Mrs. Henry Bottiger, New York; Rachael, Paulina, Lizzie, Emma and Christ, Jr., at home. Last summer the family buried two children. Deceased was a member of the Christ Lutheran church and was a miner by occupation.

'Report of Death Premature.'
The report of the death of Christ Yeager, of Arthur street, was premature. The news came from one of the relatives too late for investigation and was considered reliable. Mr. Yeager is in a critical condition, however, and today his daughter, Mrs. Henry Bottiger, of New York, was summoned to his bedside.

Christian Yeager, mention of whose critical illness appeared in these columns, is dead at his home on Garfield street, after suffering for several weeks from typhoid pneumonia. The funeral will take place at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, to be followed by interment in Vine street cemetery.

All that was mortal of the late Christian Yeager, of Garfield street, was laid to rest at 2 o'clock this afternoon in the Vine street cemetery. Services were conducted at the house by Rev. J. O. Schlenker, pastor of the Lutheran church. Hazleton Conclave, Order of Heptasophs, of which the deceased had been a member, attended the funeral in a body.
