Treva made a home for her family in High Point, Asheville, Summerfield, and then on a farm in Stokesdale. She loved to cook, can vegetables, attend church, and she remained a faithful member of the Church of Christ. Treva especially loved children and had a unique way of interacting and playing with them that made her seem like one of them.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ashby Williams; siblings, Earnest, Herbert, Demis, Curtis, and Henry Vanhoy, Elizabeth Douglas, Ida Norman and Aline Lankford.
Surviving are her children, Elaine Asher, Jerry Williams and wife, Barbara, Richard Williams, Jr. and wife, Linda, Leah Whitsett and husband, Tommy Lee, Autumn Ryan; siblings, Fred Vanhoy, Edith Voss, and Vennie Speaks; 14 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
