Fred Daniel Vanhoy, 83, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 25, 2016 at his home. Fred was born June 3, 1932 in Forsyth county to Arthur and Annie Fulp Vanhoy. He was a veteran of the US Army and retired from Piedmont Concrete after 37 years of service. Fred loved spending time with his family and also enjoyed farming, fishing and racing.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers. Surviving are three daughters, robin Little, Lisa Logan (Mike) and Rachelle Henderson (Daril); five grandchildren, Lee Corbett (Emily), Donnie Little (Danielle), Jeanette Corbett, Amy Little and Daniel Henderson; six great grandchildren, Malachi Corbett, Jackson and Parker Little, Eli, Aliyah and Levi Corbett; and two sisters, Edith Voss and Vennie Speaks (Harold).

A funeral service will be held at 2:00p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00p.m. Wednesday, January 27, at the funeral home.
