Minnie Mae Jordan Watson, ninety-seven years of age, passed away on February 27, 2001.

She earned her living by baking cakes, especially wedding cakes.

She was the fifth of twelve children born to Viola Bailey and James Rogers "Jim" Jordan.

Minnie Mae married Garland Watson on November 22, 1923 in Arcadia, Bienville Parish, Louisiana. To this union seven children were born:

Martha Ann 10 May 1925 to 2012. On 19 May 1945 in Lincoln Parish, Louisiana, married Norman Lamar Dowling born 01 Jul 1924 to Willie Eather Giles (1893-1976) and Joseph Cottrell Dowling (1889-1944) and was the grandson of Sarah Elizabeth Tucker (1855-1938) and Joseph Baskerville Dowling (1850-1893). Martha Ann and Norman had 4 boys, Scott, Curtis Lamar, and twins Ronald Lee and Robert Donald.

James Rogers "Jamie" (24 Mar 1927 d 09 Feb 1877) Twin to Janice. He married Miss Levon and they had two children, Mary Ann and James Michael.

Janice (25 Mar 1927 - 04 May 1937) Died at age 10.

Mary Virginia (19 Jul 1932; married Sam Smart, b 05 Nov 1926, married in 1950. To this union 3 children were born: Sam Lee b 31 Jan 1951 he never married.
James Donald b 23 Nov 1953, married Doris Ann in 1971 and had one daughter, Jennifer b 23 Oct 1972, and William Thomas b 18 Mar 1955, married in 1971, spouse's name being researched at this time; they had one daughter, Christine Lee Ann b 20 Dec 1972.

Garland Donald (08 Aug 1935) In 1951, he married Sammy Cathy and to this union two daughters were born, Toni (b 02 Nov 1952) and Dee (b 09 Jul 1958). On 17 Feb 196, he married Eileen and they had two sons, Kevin (02 Jan 1972) and James Garland (Oct 1977).

After her husband, Garland, was killed in a car accident, Minnie Mae lived with her mother, Viola Jordan. Her sister Inez lost her husband in 1958 and was also living with their mother. The sisters cared for their mother, Viola, until she died in 1964 at the age of 88.
