Martha Ann was an inspiration to her family and friends and a constant witness of her Christian faith. She was a true prayer warrior, never wavering in her commitment to the Lord, and touched many lives through her faithful example.
Mrs. Dowling is survived by her sons - Curtis Dowling and wife, Linda, of Simsboro, LA; Bobby Dowling and wife, Donna, of Simsboro, LA; Ronnie Dowling and wife, Paula, of Ruston, LA; and daughter-in-law, Dee Dowling of Simsboro, LA; grandchildren - Dusty Dowling and wife, Patti, of Baton Rouge, LA; Julie McIntosh and husband, Trey, of Oak Grove, LA; Karen Dowling of Simsboro, LA; Angela Canterbury and husband, Clark, of Simsboro, LA; Melane Slocum and husband, Kenny, of Simsboro, LA; Lauren Dowling of Ruston, LA; Lamar Dowling of Dallas, TX; Anna Grace Dowling of Simsboro, LA; and David Dowling of Simsboro, LA; great-grandchildren - John Patrick Dowling, Liam Dowling, Ellie Dowling, Alyssa Dru McIntosh, Cullen McIntosh, Richard Canterbury, Sydney Canterbury, and Eli Slocum; sister, Mary Smart of Arcadia, LA; and brother, Don Watson of Pointe, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Minnie Mae Watson; siblings, Janice Watson and James Watson; husband of 62 years, Lamar Dowling; son, Scott Dowling; and granddaughters, Aimee Dowling and Melissa Dowling.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Dusty Dowling, Lamar Dowling, David Dowling, Trey McIntosh, Clark Canterbury, and Kenny Slocum.
