Willie Thomas "Jobie" Bouknight, 88, died Thursday in a Columbia hospital. He was born in Lexington County, a son of the late Godfrey D. and Elizabeth Bouknight. He was a member of Union Methodist Church. Surviving is his widow, Mrs. Carrie Derrick Bouknight; two daughters, Mrs. Prema Bouknight Epting of Chapin, and Mrs. LaDelle Bouknight Oxney of Columbia; six sons, Willie Ray Bouknight od Lexington, Frank Marion, Cromer "Doc", James D. and D. Pat Bouknight all of Columbia, and Donald Otis Bouknight of Irmo; a sister, Mrs. E. Ross Hook of Columbia, a brother, Charlie Mat Bouknight of Columbia. Funeral services will be Friday at 4:30 p.m. in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. H. B. Watson and the Rev. George Wilson. Pallbearers will be Ellis Koon, J. D. Drafts, Carl Derrick, O. Y., Bouknight, John Onley, and Harry Onley. Caughman-Harman Home in Lexington is in charge. © The State, Columbia, SC, 24 Apr 1970
