Cromer Darr "Doc" Bouknight, 59, of 1103 Timrod Street, Columbia, SC, Died Monday, June 3, 1985.

Born August 17, 1925 in Irmo, Lexington County, South Carolina, he was a Sons of Mrs. Carrie Lillian Derrick Bouknight and the late Willie Thomas Bouknight.

He was an insulator with Derrick Insulation Company and a member of Ascension Lutheran Church, where he was a former member of the church council and an usher. Mr. Bouknight was an Army Veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Annie Laurie Derrick Bouknight; daughters, Mrs. Jennifer D. Newton of Tucker, Georgia, Mrs. Nancy I. Potter of Blythewood and Mrs. Laurie A. Johnson of Lexington; his mother of Irmo; sisters, Mrs. La Delle Bouknight Oxley of Columbia and Mrs. Perma Bouknight Epting of Chapin; brothers Frank M. Bouknight and James "Jimmy" Bouknight, both of Columbia, and Donald O. and Doyle P. "Pat" Bouknight of Irmo; and grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a. m.. Wednesday, June 5, 1985 at Ascension Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Dr. G. Frederick Schott, Jr. Burial will be in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family will be receiving family and friends from 7 p. m. to 8 p. m. Tuesday, June 4, 1985 at Talbert-Shives Funeral Home.
