Mr. Baxter was born in Hydesville, California, son of Jerome Baxter and Sarah Ann Nowlin. October 3, 1897 he married Gertrude Mary Mathison daughter of Nis Mathison and Mary Magdalene Peterson. He had a Dairy farm and worked in the Lumber mill. Father of 2 daughters and 4 sons. Mr. Baxter died in Fortuna, California.
