Everett "Ray" is the son of William "Riley" Baxter and Gertrude Mary Mathison.

Ray married first Maude Waldo and had a son Robert Arthur Baxter. Ray and Maude divorced.

Ray married second Beatrice Carmen Carter, no children from this union.

Baxter, Everett Ray, April 4, 1969, in San Francisco, California, Husband of Mrs. Beatrice C. Baxter of Rio Del. Brother of Mrs. Flossie Bailey of Fortuna. Uncle of Warren Baxter of Hayward. he is also survived by numerous other relatives. A native of Hydesville, and life long resident of this area, residing in Rio Del the past 18 years. He had been employed over 30 years for the Pacific Lumber Co. and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Fortuna and the Fortuna Ward of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Age 66. Services will be held at Goble's Fortuna Mortuary, Monday, April 7 at 2p.m. with Bishop Wendell Dunn officiating. Interment Ocean View Cemetery, Eureka.
